I'm an Ada programmer for the Marine Corps at Okinawa, and we use the Alsys compiler (v4.4.2) w/ AdaSAGE (v4.1.1) to develop our DBMS projects. We just received Aetech's IntegrAda and Visual Ada, and, from what little I've seen of them so far, they look like good tools for the programming we do. There is the problem of continuing our pending projects/supporting existing Alsys Ada systems using IntegrAda, and I'm looking for suggestions on how this can be done. 2. Is there any way to utilize AdaSAGE (Alsys) proc calls/screens while in IntegrAda? I have not contacted Inel yet (next msg going out today), but is there any conversion software/process I can use to do this? 3. In Visual Ada, it's supposed to have 700 Windows proc calls w/ it; is there a source for the x remaining calls? 4. We've only had Aetech's software for 2 days and the order we received didn't have all the avail tools (HyperARM, LearnAda, On-line Training & Ref Manual) or the maintenance agreement for the IntegrAda/Vis Ada package that had been purchased, so, until that can be remedied (prob 6+ mths due to procurement turn-around time from Oki), we're on our own. (I'm not aware of any units in the Corps using IntegrAda.) Anyone willing to be a POC for answering a few of the questions we're bound to have would be greatly appreciated. We're currently working on several multi-user, DOS-based DBMS projects and are expecting a deluge of Win apps requests to hit us any day now ... anyone w/ experience w/ any of these areas would be _most_ welcome. 5. I don't read the groups very often, so ask that any responses to the above issues be sent to my e-mail account listed below. r/s Paul Mayr Sgt USMC mayrp@okinawa.usmc.mil Voice: 011-81-061-745-7468/7408 Fax: 011-81-061-745-3704 Mail: G-6 TSB Programming, MCB Unit 35002 FPO AP 96373-5002
