FOCUS ON APPLICATIONS In the last 10 years, Ada use has spread across domains as diverse as finance and command and control, and expanded out from the DOD into NASA, FAA, and the aerospace industry. The Ada community has led in the application of software engineering to large systems, object-oriented analysis and design, reuse-based architectures, and formal development methods. WAdaS '94 will spotlight the real application experience gathered in our community over the last decade -- especially in the development of large, complex systems. Has Ada successfully served its intended community? How will Ada 9X effect the various application areas? What is the potential for the expansion of Ada into new areas? We invite anyone interested in Ada and software engineering to come to WAdaS '94 and decide for themselves how to answer these questions. WAdaS '94 will be held jointly with the 1994 Summer SIGAda Meeting, where recent accomplishments of SIGAda working groups and committees will be highlighted. A number of working group meetings will be held throughout the conference; several working groups will report their results during the technical program. This inside look at the wide range of work in the Ada community complements the application focus of the WAdaS '94 theme. CALL FOR PARTICIPATION Papers -- Papers may be on any topic related to Ada applications, software engineering, development methods, etc. Please send a 3-5 page abstract to the address below by DECEMBER 6, 1993. Panels -- Panels should preferably be related to our conference theme, "Focus on Applications". Please send a 1 page proposal to the address below by NOVEMBER 8, 1993. Tutorials -- Half or full day tutorials may be on any topic that might be of interest to our audience. Please send a 1 page proposal to the address below by NOVEMBER 8, 1993.
