I answered earlier about Meridian Ada on the Mac. I've since learned that Tartan's 68xxx compilers also number bits right-to-left, the least significant bit being numbered 0. I also understand that Tartan now supports the 68020, 68030, 68040, 68332 and 68340 targets switch-selectably in one compiler--an offering that is unique in the market.
