The issues of architecting environments which incorporate the Ada language have often been overshadowed by these language debates. Changing technologies and the maturing of Ada have introduced a number of significant challenges for Program Managers, Software Engineers, and Designers. The TRI-Ada '94 conference will address many of the challenges encountered by people who will be Architecting Systems for the 90's and Beyond. The TRI-Ada '94 conference program will consist of contributed papers, invited lectures, panels, reports on practical experience, and tutorials. Is there a "correct" or "best" methodology? * How to create software development environments with current technologies and tools * Ada 83 and Ada 9X - The end of a long road or the beginning of a new one? * Telecommunications and Networks - How do they affect the design of new systems? * Hardware and Software - Where do we draw the lines in the 90's? Do we make software do more hardware functions or do we embed more software in hardware? Who decides? How? * Managing personnel and technologies in a changing world. Is there any plan for it? Successes? Failures? * Ada education and training - Has it kept up with the changes in technology and changes in student profiles? What will be available to support the new Ada 9X standard?
