Message-ID: <1993Aug13.112239.28956@news.cs.tut.fi> List-Id: Hello everybody! My Ada program is running in VAX under VMS (V5.5-1 to be precise). It has been developed (well, actually just copied the sources and recompiled there) with Digital's VAX Ada. The program needs to read the CPU ID Register value from the machine it is running. (I mean the 32-bit integer value, which you get at command level, for example, with 'A = F$GETSYI("SID")' and then 'SHOW SYMBOL A'.) I'd appreciate it very much if someone could advice me how it can be done. An example program would be great, or even the highlights of the solution. Please email the answer directly to me. Thanking in advance. Olavi Poutanen Testwell Kanslerinkatu 8, SF-33720 Tampere, Finland Tel. +358-31-316-5464, Fax. +358-31-183-311, Email. olavip@cs.tut.fi
