He normally posts in comp.edu (you can get the raw data there). In the 7th, and most recent survey, the top languages were: Language Now 6th Survey ----------------------------------- Pascal 124 123 Ada 57 26 Modula-2/-3 50 35 Scheme 50 18 C 21 21 FORTRAN 8 6 C++ 7 6 Certainly this is not a scientific survey, and I'm not sure what bias there is in the schools that respond, but he seems to have gone to great lengths to verify the data he did receive.
