That would indeed be interesting; I guess it is much less than people in general think. For example, I don't think your local telephone switch has any C++ in it. For whatever it is worth, I recently saw an estimate that there are some 500.000 users of C++. I recall that the Moseman report indicates something similar in the summary of the number of sold C++ compilers. -- Dag
