I'm not sure whether NYU per se will do the Mac port, but there will undoubtedly be a port, if for no other reason than there are so many Macs in education. There is a gcc for the Mac. Stallman must be in a bit of a quandary: the FSF side of him wants to see dispersion of free software as widely as possible; the LPF side of him wants to boycott Apple. Mike Feldman
