I'm currently comparing some existing style guides but I'd like some feedback from the Ada-community-at-large. One style guide that has been recommended a number of times is the Software Productivity Consortium's book ``Ada Quality and Style: Guidelines for Professional Programmers''. According to the March 1991 Ada-IC newsletter the AJPO is even ``investigating the possibility of purchasing the data rights to the SPC guide.. the guide could then be issued as a military handbook.'' I have the following questions: 1. Who has adopted the SPC style guide? 2. What experiences have you/they had with the SPC guide? Is it useful? Do you/they like it? 3. Are there other style guides I should look at? I already know about the old AJPO style guide (from NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center) and the STGT style guide. If so, can you answer questions 1 & 2 for that guide? 4. Is there anything else I should know about Ada style guides? --- David A. Wheeler wheeler@ida.org
