I got a number of responses, most with interesting comments. Thanks to those who wrote back. There was no grand consensus on how best to use these guidelines, so I am hesitant to issue a summary of the responses. I received one comment to which I must respond. Someone advised me that the version we are using, 02.00.02 is not the latest revision. Not true. I spoke to someone at SPC today who told me that it was the latest revision.
