I will follow up with a detailed set of instructions on the ADA-SW email list at that time. If you do not already subscribe, send a request to ADA-SW-REQUEST@WSMR-SIMTEL20.ARMY.MIL, and I will be happy to add you to the list. The wuarchive system is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Anonymous FTP and remote NFS links are supported. The archive system support 60 interactive logins during prime time (versus 9 for SIMTEL20 itself) and 100 interactive logins during non-prime time (versus 14 for SIMTEL20). The wuarchive system is a mirror site, meaning that it is updated on a regular basis automatically within a few days as the changes are made to the main archives (such as the ASR). This is a very good solution to the problem we have been encountering, but it is still not perfect. SIMTEL20 holds 12 archives, the ASR being one of them, and the user base is enormous. Work is proceeding with setting up the "supported" mirror site, which will also provide a large number of interactive logins via FTP as well as NFS mounts. I will similarly post information as facilities become available. Rick Conn, ASR Manager -------
