You can sit on SIMTEL20, browse through the repositories directly, and transfer files over the DDN directly to your PC using any one of three mainframe-micro file transfer protocols (ie, Kermit, XMODEM, and YMODEM). Other less-known protocols are also available (ie, ZMODEM). The file transfer tools on SIMTEL20 automatically negotiate binary communications on the DDN when they need to. Rick Conn -------
