A brief characterization of buyers over here explained
it to me:

  "The Germans will more likely buy a certain phone
(TV set, OO programming set) if it has at least the
multitude of technical features as the one X has bought.
X is a relevant Other to whose gadget Ego's gadget will
be compared."

Ada advocates might have something up their sleeves, though:
simplicity through construction being built in,
smooth integration, no need because everything is
already there.  This is why the "Object Orientation" section
in the WiKi book tries to emphasize that in a sense there is
nothing special about OO object creation.
