Unsurprisingly, you don't get it. The burden of proof is on you, not me, because you are the one trying to move people away from the established uses of C and C++ over to Ada. Linux and Microsoft operating systems and applications serve as existence proofs of the ability to use C and C++ to build good, stable systems, systems which are used every day by millions of people to get their work done. Ariane 5 is an existence proof that the mere use of Ada in the building of a system is not a panacea against disaster. Furthermore, Ada is a language where many people who were forced to use it during the mandate fled from its use afterward, apparently not having noticed the benefits it was supposed to confer on the development process.
