The only alternative is to use a 'screen dump' program to 'eyeball' the data, and work out the format yourself (an option you want to avoid -- trust me -- if you possibly can :-). One very likely road for you to follow will be to write a small Ada program to read the database and output it in a form easily read by BASIC (e.g. CVF comma-delimited text). -- == Nick Roberts ================================================ == Croydon, UK =========================== == ================ == Proprietor, ThoughtWing Software ========== == Independent Software Development Consultant ====== == Nick.Roberts@dial.pipex.com ==== == Voicemail & Fax +44 181-405 1124 === == == == I live not in myself, but I become == === Portion of that around me; and to me == ==== High mountains are a feeling, but the hum == ======= Of human cities torture. =========== -- Byron [Childe Harold] Fort Sam Houston Library wrote in article <34D9FD1F.2F09@swbell.net>... > I'm new to this.
