Off on a tangent, yes. I miss the ol' PDP-11, too.

I've written many programs using 6809 assembler. But alas, the past is
gone.

: prettier than either of the PDP sets mentioned above, as it made
: virtually perfect use of a small set of registers. Of course, the
: 68000 and its successors look a lot like a 32-bit PDP-11 with separate
: address and data registers, and is also quite pleasant to program.
